Reforming Art Productions’ is pleased to announce our newest training program. RAP’S Professional Training Program is a unique opportunity for professional-focused dance students (aged 14+), to work closely with Reforming Art’s core faculty members, receive personalized mentorship, perform throughout the city, all while working and networking with the current generation of Vancouver’s professional dance artists and community members.
Designed for dancers who aspire to pursue a career in both Contemporary and Neo-classical dance, students can expect to receive 18+ hours of weekly training, professional masterclasses, multiple performance opportunities, original creation work, and individualized mentorship, throughout the season.
SEPTEMBER 2019 - JUNE 2020
Our program currently offers 18+ hours of training Monday to Friday. Occasionally there may be Masterclasses and additional rehearsals held on weekends.
Ballet (Open Technique and American Academy of Ballet Syllabus)
Performance Award Examination Preparation
Contemporary Movement Repertoire
Pilates (Full Circle Pilates)
Company Creation Block
** While we work on our ability to put students through RAD and ISTD examinations, we support dancers in their pursuit to complete their previous syllabus training. If not offered inside our program and if a student chooses to do so, we are pleased to support outside training for the child to complete their examination study.**
In addition to our weekly training, we also offer students the opportunity to participate in private lessons. Private lessons are offered to help clean choreography (solos, duos, trios), prepare classical variations, and further assist students in their technical goals. Please contact us for more details.
** Please note, all private lessons must be pre-booked through the office email. To ensure all fees are covered, we kindly ask that families pre-pay for all Private choreographic sessions IN FULL, PRIOR to the session. **
Designed to replicate a professional dance company, we are pleased to offer students multiple opportunities to hit the stage this season! Our program is unique because it works to bridge the Professional Dance Community to the dance studio generation. RAP DANCERS will have the opportunity to both perform and participate in various dance community events, take part in small tours, enjoy theater-based performances, as well as minimal competitions. In addition to guest performances, this season, RAP will offer two theater performances, along with one studio-based performance, following the first term.
